US chain to open first Norfolk megastore... with 600 parking spaces
The proposals for Norfolk's first Costco were approved by Broadland Council's planning committee at a meeting on Wednesday.
The American discount retailer plans to open its new warehouse next to the council offices at Broadland Business Park, along with a petrol filling station on the other side of the roundabout.
Locals told the committee of their fears about increased traffic in the area, particularly due to the proposed 625 parking spaces at the store, and disputed that it would attract a niche customer base.........
