Sue Lawn, the former chairman of Thorpe St Andrew Conservatives, has revealed she resigned the post amid grievances with the treatment of employees at the town council.

The authority has lost seven members of staff in the last year and recently faced rebellion from within its ranks, with one Tory councillor stepping down due to frustration with the leadership.
