City Hall to crack down on 'conveyor-belt' of student flat developments in Norwich
City Hall is producing new planning guidance to prevent more of them being built, in addition to existing and pipeline developments.
Large blocks of student flats have cropped up across the city centre in recent years, raising questions about affordability and the dominance of the skyline.
Mike Stonard, leader of the Norwich City Council, said demand for student accommodation would be met "comfortably" over the next decade without any new developments emerging.
