City councillors clash over late meeting times and 'very long days'
Discussions about scheduling at Norwich City Council became heated after those hoping to begin meetings at an earlier time of 7pm had their hopes quashed.
Members voted in favour of sticking with a 7.30pm start and said the timings made life easier for those who have jobs with unpredictable hours or commute for work.
However, some councillors decried the schedule and said the practice of continuing discussions "late into the evening" made life harder for council staff as well as members.
