Review: Matilda the Musical lights up Norwich with youthful brilliance
The Royal Shakespeare Company’s hit adaptation of Roald Dahl’s much-loved story follows Matilda, a fiercely intelligent child who refuses to be defined by the adults around her.
With an inventive book by Dennis Kelly and Tim Minchin’s witty, memorable songs, it remains a show full of mischief, imagination and rebellion.

It was the children who truly made the performance. Their confidence, enthusiasm and seemingly boundless energy brought real life to the production, particularly in the big ensemble numbers, which fizzed with personality from beginning to end.
