Father took his life four year's after son's death
Benjamin Begley's body was recovered from water off Pedham Road close to his home in Blofield on October 16 last year.
An inquest into the 65-year-old's death, held at Norfolk Coroner's Court this week, heard evidence from several witnesses, including medical professionals from mental health services.
His GP confirmed that Mr Begley, whose 35-year-old son Lewis died in 2020 at Chatterton House, a mental health unit in King's Lynn, had suffered from anxiety, low mood and suicidal thoughts dating back to 2011.
The court also heard that he had previously tried to end his life by suicide.

On September 24, Mr Begley had been referred to the mental health team as he was presenting as highly anxious and suicidal.
He had been taken on for home treatment under the care of the crisis team, part of the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT).
He was recommended to continue care under the community mental health team, but declined further help.
He was then discharged from the Crisis team on October 8.
On the day of his death, his wife, Sheila, had become concerned after finding he had gone out and left his wallet and phone behind.
She went to a location where she knew he had previously gone when he had suicidal thoughts and found his car.
