Roger Clarke passed away at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, where he was being treated for his injuries.

An inquest into his death opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Tuesday.

It heard Mr Clarke, who was was born in Downham Market in 1940, ran the Anchorage Veterinary Hospital in Acle - the village where he lived - prior to his retirement.
