Developers get greenlight for homes despite neighbours' fears
Devlin Developments Ltd, which lodged the application, will build the homes on subdivided land off St Lawrence Road in Cringleford.
According to the planning papers, which were revealed in November last year, the overgrown site is currently unused and consists of disused tennis courts.
The pair of homes will include five bedrooms each as well as detached garages, with access to them through a private driveway leading directly from St Lawrence Drive.

But neighbours living near the property rallied against the plans over fears the increased number of cars and construction vehicles would damage the road.
In a joint statement, one letter to South Norfolk Council read: "The residents of 4, 4A, and 6 St Lawrence Drive jointly wish to object to the access arrangements for this application."
They added: "The proposed development of two new dwellings will increase the total number of properties served by this single private access road to 10 properties.
"The proposed development pushes the total number of served dwellings beyond the acceptable limit for a substandard road surface."
Another neighbour writing to the council, who also objected, said: "St Lawrence Drive is an unadopted road and therefore the upkeep is the responsibility of the residents.
"From past experience the road surface can, and likely will, be damaged by many and large vehicles accessing the site. I would ask that it should be conditional on any approval of planning that the developer be responsible for any damage and the costs of such works."
But planners for the district council said highways officials did not raise any concerns over the designs and did not believe the size of the development would "result in detrimental harm to the highway safety".
