Care homes could close but council leaders defend major Norfolk shake-up
Leaders at Norfolk County Council want new companies to take on and invest in 30 residential care homes and housing with care schemes currently run by NorseCare, which the council owns.
Council leaders are optimistic private operators will take over the sites, but concede some homes may shut, if they fail to attract interest.

Andrew Jamieson, deputy leader and cabinet member for finance at Conservative-controlled County Hall, said he believed the shake-up would mean better facilities for Norfolk people overall, with an increase in the number of beds available.
Mr Jamieson said: "The key objective is to get what is best for the residents of Norfolk. I believe this is an opportunity to get high quality, modern care homes built quickly, in the right places and at the right price.
