Nigel Darling's home-bred bull, named Blue Cedar Peter 23 (PP), fetched 20,000 guineas at Worcester Livestock Market.

It set a new all-breeds centre record, as well as being the highest price ever paid for a Simmental bull at a breed society sale in England.

Mr Darling, of Intwood Farm, south of Norwich, said it was testament to 18 years of work to breed "homozygous polled"........
