Kieron and Sharron Haines, 68 and 65 respectively, died on the A-8 motorway near the resort town of Llanes after they were involved in a crash with a lorry.

The married couple, from Hellesdon, are reported to have been killed instantly following the collision, which happened just east of Oviedo on September 11.

Reports at the time suggest that the couple came off their bike during heavy rain on the Spanish motorway and were hit by following vehicles.
