Alex James, bassist in Blur, was speaking to BBC Radio 2 on World Record Store Day.

He was discussing the release of Blur's Live at the Budokan album.

Initially released only in Japan, the vinyl was made available in England for World Record Store Day earlier this year.

When speaking about his love for the Budokan, a venue in Tokyo, James also expressed his love for the UEA's LCR venue.

He sang its praises for the sound quality, even comparing to Maddison Square Garden in New York.

He said: "There are two or three rooms in the world where the sound is just amazing.

"Maddison Square Garden, sound is amazing, The University of East Anglia LCR.

"The sound in that room...I just remember the sound in that room is amazing."

The hit UK band had played at the LCR on May 29, 1994.
