Miranda Wynne and her toddler Clemmie feared the worst in January when their cat, Hugo, did not return to their Brooke home for breakfast after his routine nighttime adventure.

The mother and daughter "climbed over fences, put leaflets through doors and stuck up posters" in their local area in a bid to find Hugo.

And their hard work paid off with Miranda having the “second-best day of her life” when she was reunited with the feline on Sunday.
