People living in city road have 'sandbags ready at all times' after repeated flooding
One homeowner said they have “sandbags ready at all times” following several incidents near Sweet Briar Road and the Kwik Fit garage.
It comes as a burst water main on March 13 resulted in water supplies being cut while Anglian Water engineers worked to stem the flow.

The busy road was also closed for nearly a week to allow repairs to be carried out.
In July last year multiple homes were flooded along the same stretch, followed by a leak near Aldi.
In 2022, there were two incidents in nearby Sweet Briar Road - one in February that led to a bridge collapse, and another in November.

Rachel, who lives just metres from the latest leak, said: “We’ve got sandbags ready at all times.
"In July 2024, I’d just had solid oak flooring fitted, and it was ruined.
