City woman calling for better bus gate signs after receiving £105 fine
Suzie Shaw, from Norwich, was fined for driving through the bus gate at the junction of Grove Road and Brazengate before 9.30am on March 17 while on her way to Sainsbury’s.
The section of road near Norwich Bus Station is restricted to buses during peak morning hours, but Suzie claims unclear signage and faded road markings left her unaware she had committed an offence.

Suzie, an emergency foster carer, says she was shocked to receive a penalty charge notice weeks later, claiming it was the first she had heard of the incident.
She said: “I never got the first letter, the council don't use recorded delivery, so who knows what happened to it.
“The first time I was made aware of the PCN was when I received a second notice in May telling me the fine had increased to £105 because I’d ignored the initial charge.”
