Kevin Keable, chairman of the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR), said both the skills shortage and gap in the sector across the region is a “foggy mess”.

“There are not enough jobs, not enough skilled labour, not the right courses, expensive courses and a lack of information for both employers and students,” he said.
