Raid 2 review: Worthy Ajay Devgn-Riteish Deshmukh clash, dull romance and stretched climax

New Delhi: Ajay Devgn returns as the no-nonsense Income Tax officer in the latest release movie, Raid 2, a sequel that carries forward the legacy of the original, Raid. The movie comprises all the staple elements fans expect —intense face-offs, clap-worthy punchlines, hilarious moments, witty dialogues, sharp comebacks and a battle between power and crime.

Raid 2 is a typical Ajay Devgn film with his signature style, including stoic charisma, intense drama, and righteous crusade against corruption. The core of the film lies in his clash with a corrupt yet cunning politician, Dada Manohar Bhai (played by Riteish Deshmukh), as Ajay Devgn’s character, IRS officer Amay Patnaik, unravels yet another high-profile financial scandal.
