New Delhi: Filmmaker Karan Johar has approached the Delhi High Court seeking protection of his personality rights and an order to stop the unauthorised sale of merchandise using his name. Earlier, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan approached the Delhi High Court to seek orders to restrain several websites and online platforms from illegally using their names or images for commercial use without consent.

The High Court then granted interim protection to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and restrained infringers from violating the actress’s personality, image, moral rights, and from passing off their goods and services as endorsed by her.
