Kerala Assembly elections 2026: Polling for Kerala’s 140 Assembly seats began at 7 am, with 16.23 per cent turnout recorded by 9 am. Polling is being conducted under tight security, with over 76,000 personnel deployed and live webcasting in place. Around 2.71 crore voters, including men, women, transgender individuals and overseas voters, are eligible to vote to decide the fate of 883 candidates.
