Women have two things which are absolutely essential for building wealth -- the discipline to pursue long-term investment and the quality of restraint. While speaking at the Money9 Financial Freedom Summit 2026 on Thursday, HDFC AMC MD & CEO Navneet Munot urged people to learn these from women.

Kolkata: Women have two of very crucial disciplines that are needed for building wealth — the discipline for long-term view and the quality of restraint, Navneet Munot, MD & CEo of HDFC AMC said at Money9 Financial Freedom Summit 2026.

“Women can better manage volatility since they have a long-term view. It seems God has blessed women with more restraint. What do you need to succeed as an investor? You need good investment, you need a long-term horizon and you need restraint,” said Munot, who said that women essentially have more of the last two disciplines. “They learn from life that there are ups and downs as in volatility.
