Dehradun: Amidst activation of fresh western disturbance, Uttarakhand is experiencing heavy snowfall in higher regions and rainfall in plain parts. Snowfall began early in the morning in areas like Badrinath Dham, Hemkund Sahib, Valley of Flowers, Auli, Rudranath, Gorson, and Nanda Ghunti.

The Niti and Mana valleys also saw heavy snowfall. Vehicle movement on the Auli route was affected, and snow started accumulating ahead of Hanumanchatti on the Badrinath Highway. BRO (Border Roads Organisation) machines have been deployed to clear the snow.

The weather in Uttarakhand has changed once again, bringing snowfall and rain to various parts of the state. On Wednesday, the high-altitude areas, including Badrinath Dham and Hemkund Sahib in Chamoli district, experienced fresh snowfall, while the lower areas witnessed rain. This sudden change in weather has resulted in a significant drop in temperature, making the cold even more intense.
