US mid-term elections: Democrats take lead in Republican districts show early trends

The voting has taken place on all 435 House seats and 35 of the 100 Senate seats. Apart from this 36 state Governors are also going to be elected through these elections in the US. In order to get back both chambers from Republicans, the Democrats need only 3 gains in the House and total of 4 seats in the Senate.

New Delhi: Polls have started to close in several US states, like Ohio, Georgia and North Carolina in the United States. These elections will determine the balance of power in the Congress for the next 2 years of President Donald Trump’s stay in the White House. Early trends showed Democrats leading in several of the Republican districts. If they manage to win, it might threaten Trump’s grip on Washington, for the rest of his presidency.
