Poison, not watermelon might have killed Mumbai family of 4: Sources
Doctors who conducted the postmortem of 4 members of a Mumbai family, who died after consuming pulao and watermelon for dinner, have said that some of the organs of the victims turned green. Sources said that the doctors suspect poisoning but are not ready to confirm it yet. The police are investigating the deaths.
New Delhi: A family of 4 died after consuming watermelon post dinner in Mumbai. Initially the blame was put on the popular summer fruit, saying that they perished due to food poisoning. However now, sources claim that the deaths have been caused due to a poison. Some of the organs of the victims turned green, indicating the presence of some insidious substance in their bodies.
Initially after the watermelon theory was given, the fruit disappeared from markets. Not only that, the sales of watermelon dropped considerably in Mumbai.
