Bihar: PM Narendra Modi launches multiple development projects worth Rs 5,000 crore in Siwan
Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday reached Bihar’s Siwan district. He laid the foundation stone for and inaugurated multiple development projects, including water, rail and power sector. Development projects worth Rs 5,700 crore were inaugurated by the PM in the state, which is set to go to polls later this year.
The PM inaugurated several infrastructure and development projects in the poll-bound state of Bihar. He inaugurated the Vaishali-Deoria Railway line in the state. A Vande Bharat Express train between Patliputra and Gorakhpur via Muzaffarpur and Bettiah is among the projects launched by the PM.
The PM also launched the first instalment to more than 53,600 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban (PMAY-U) at the Siwan event.
Speaking at the event, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said, “I want to thank Prime Minister Modi once again that he will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 6 thousand crores here through Namami Gange. PM Modi, please keep coming to Bihar. Whenever you come, you give gifts to Bihar. Bihar keeps waiting for your visit.”
Next on stage was Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He reminded people that ever since the BJP-JD(U) combine came to power in the state, Bihar has seen continuous development. He reminded people of the dark days under the previous RJD........
