Assam: Death toll in floods reaches 95, 1.6 lakh affected across 14 districts

The flood situation in Assam worsened on Wednesday, as more deaths were reported from several districts in the state. 2 people drowned in floodwaters in Sivasagar and Biswanath districts and 1 death each was reported from Golaghat and Morigaon. The death toll in this year's flood has reached 95.

According to the data available with the State Disaster Management Authority, over 1.6 lakh people in 14 districts of the state have been impacted by the deluge so far. The death toll in this year’s floods in the state has risen to 95.
