Global Passport Rankings: Singapore tops, Indians get visa-free travel to 57 nations
The ranking of the world’s most powerful passports for the first six months of the year 2025, published by the prestigious institution Henley & Partners, shows Singapore’s passport is the most powerful passport in the world. The Henley Passport Index prepares the ranking of passports on the basis of how many countries the holder of that passport can visit without any visa, and citizens who hold this passport can travel visa-free to 195 countries of the world.
While last time countries like Japan, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France were also in first place along with Singapore, this time Singapore is the only country that has topped the list, proudly standing all alone on the Index.
The second place has been secured by Japan, which provides visa-free travel to 193 countries, followed by South Korea, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland, which share the third place and provide visa-free travel to 192 countries. If we talk about India, then the country fell 5 points compared to last time and got 85th place while providing visa-free travel to 57 countries. Although this ranking lags behind many countries, India is likely to improve in the future due to its growing diplomatic ties and economic progress.
The Taliban-led Afghanistan is at the bottom of the list at 99th place, and its passport allows visa-free entry to only 25........
