New Delhi: A Fatehabad district court sentenced a man to death for the gruesome murder of his disabled brother in Tohana, Haryana. District and Sessions Judge Deepak Agarwal declared the case “rarest of rare,” imposing capital punishment on the accused.

The court found the accused guilty under Sections 457 (house trespass), 506 (criminal intimidation), 302 (murder), and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He received the death penalty under Section 302 and a fine of Rs 20,000. Additionally, he was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and a Rs5,000 fine for each of the other offences.
