New Delhi: A fresh complaint has widened the investigation into Tamil Nadu granite businessman R Veeramani, with the mother of a minor girl alleging that her daughter was sexually abused by him before she died by suicide.

The woman appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Monday and submitted her complaint. The SIT has registered a fresh case under relevant provisions of law and is investigating the allegations, according to a Tamil Nadu Police statement.
