Iran’s IRGC has released a new map of its control zones in the Strait of Hormuz, warns the US military amid escalating tensions over maritime security and shipping routes.

New Delhi: Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Navy has released a new map that marks out the Strait of Hormuz areas under its total control on Monday, as reported by state media. This move comes at a time when the world is already on edge over the security of one of the most vital shipping routes in the world.

According to the Fars News Agency, the designated zone is locked between two specific lines, one stretching from Qeshm Island to Umm Al Quwain in the UAE and another from Mount Mobarak down to the area near Fujairah.
