New Delhi: India walked away with a hard-earned 2-1 series win in Vizag and the three games offered full drama and storylines. South Africa, after losing the first match, bounced back in Raipur to force a decider but India’s clarity and composure sealed the result in their favour on home soil.
The opening ODI in Ranchi reminded everyone why these two still define India’s white-ball heartbeat. Rohit’s fifty and Kohli’s century were the turning points of that match. Both added milestones to their growing legacy, with Sharma going past Shahid Afridi for the most sixes and Kohli snapping his lean patch with a record-extending hundred that came with a raw, emotional celebration.
