Women are born entrepreneurs and all they need for success is removal of the obstacles that lie in their path. They first obstacles oftne come from their families which needs to be addressed by social change and not merely by policy change, said four successful women entrepreneurs at the TV9 event She Means Business.

Kolkata: For women entrepreneurs life is a bit harder as they have to walk that extra mile to achieve the same thing as men. This sentiment was echoed by four women in business, who have set up their own businesses and have been running them successfully for several years. “Any woman who is successful, has done well never got it easy. That’s not to say that men do not work hard but women have to work a bit harder to achieve the same thing,” said Arpana Shahi, founder & CEO, Gabit, which makes smart rings which is a health wearable. It sits on the finger and measures dozens of health parameters. The situations and run-ups to the businesses that they set up were all different but one thing was common — clearly chart your way, be dogged, drain that extra sweat and success will follow.
