Sensex, Nifty slump in early trade: Check prominent gainers and laggards

The Indian stock market slumped in early trade owning to the continuing uncertainty in the West Asia region and US president Donald Trump's threat to impose a permanent blockade on Iran. At 9:30 AM, Sensex was at 77,733.76, down 0.44% or 346.20 points while Nifty 50 was trading at 24,305.30, down 0.37% or 90.55 points.

Kolkata: The Indian stock market slumped in early trade owning to the continuing uncertainty in the West Asia region and US president Donald Trump’s threat to impose a permanent blockade on Iran, which also led to a rise in the crude oil benchmarks after a decline yesterday.  At 9:30 AM, Sensex was at 77,733.76, down 0.44% or 346.20 points while Nifty 50 was trading at 24,305.30, down 0.37% or 90.55 points.
