Trump effect or fatigue: Is world forgetting Ukraine at cost of normalising Russia?
New Delhi: The condition Ukraine finds itself in at the moment is extremely tricky. While its war with Russia has now been extremely long drawn, it has seldom been isolated from its allies, principally the United States, and others on the global stage as now. This comes at the back of Donald Trump’s re-election to the White House and the slow normalisation of Russia on the global stage. Where it will lead Zelensky and Ukraine may be hard to predict at the moment, but signs of the decline are clear for all to see.
From imposing tariffs to conducting mass deportations, Trump’s actions are echoing around the world. Ukraine too has not been left outside Trump ring of fire, with his recent verbal altercations with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky being a cause of cause for many.
