Indore water crisis: 20 new cases detected during screening, 142 hospitalised
New Delhi: The Indore water tragedy is looking severe, as 142 people are hospitalised, including 11 in ICUs, after consuming the contaminated drinking water. A screening of over 9,000 people in the Bhagirathpura area, the ground zero of infection, was done by the officials, resulting in 20 new patients being detected as positive.
A total of six people have lost their lives due to contaminated water in Bhagirathpura as health teams examined 2,354 households, including 9,146 individuals in a survey.
