Pixxel to deploy Honeybee Constellation for expanded hyperspectral coverage

Pixxel plans to follow up its Firefly Constellation by deploying the Honeybee Constellation. The satellites in the Honeybee constellation will be equipped with sensors that can capture observations in 46 VNIR bands and 26 SWIR bands.

New Delhi: Bengaluru-based Space Data startup Pixxel completed deploying its Firefly constellation of six hyperspectral satellites in August last year. The satellites in the Firefly Constellation capture hyperspectral imagery in visible and near infrared wavelengths. Pixxel plans to expand its hyperspectral products with the Honeybee Constellation next. The Honeybee Zero, with a visible and shortwave infrared sensor will be deployed........
