Uttarakhand man held for planning terror attacks in Dehradun on Pak ISI handlers’ instructions

A 29-year-old man from Uttarakhand has been arrested for alleged anti-national and terror-related activities. Police claim he was in touch with Pakistan-based handlers who assigned him tasks including reconnaissance and planned attacks. The arrest was made during a joint operation by the STF and Dehradun police.

New Delhi: A 29-year-old man from Premnagar in Uttarakhand was arrested for alleged involvement in terror-related activities, with police claiming he was in contact with Pakistan-based handlers who assigned him tasks to survey key locations and plan attacks in Dehradun.

The Uttarakhand Special Task Force, along with Dehradun police, arrested Vikrant Kashyap during a joint operation under ‘Operation Prahar’ on the intervening night of April 9 and 10. Police said they recovered an illegal .32 bore pistol, seven live cartridges, and a spray paint can from his possession, as per a Hindustan Times........
