DAC clears Rs 2.38 lakh crore buys: S-400, drones, guns, transport aircraft approved

New Delhi: The Defence Acquisition Council, chaired by Rajnath Singh, approved several major defence proposals on March 27, 2026, with a total estimated cost of about Rs 2.38 lakh crore, according to official statements.
The approvals include a range of systems for the Indian Army, Indian Air Force, and Indian Coast Guard, aimed at strengthening operational readiness and modernisation.
