Both India and New Zealand headed into the clash unbeaten having won their first two matches in a row to qualify for the semi-finals of the tournament.

New Zealand produced an exceptional bowling performance and a brilliant fielding display to restrict India to 249/9 in 50 overs after inviting the Men in Blue to bat first in the game.
