New Delhi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might consider imposing a ban on all sorts of promotions involving tobacco and alcohol brands after a directive from the health ministry. The matter will be up for a discussion during the Indian cricket board’s upcoming Apex Council meeting in Kolkata. The meeting is set to take place on March 22, the day Indian Premeir League (IPL) 2025 gets underway.

As per a report in news agency PTI, the meeting is set to take place in Kolkata ahead of the IPL 2025 opener between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Eden Gardens on March 22. BCCI’s top brass will be part of the meeting where the major agenda will be to discuss the plans for the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 set........
