The Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, introduced in the Lok Sabha on March 25, 2026, finally answers it. Far from shrinking civil society, the Bill fixes a long-standing hole in the law while making the regime fairer to the people who run compliant organisations.
