The Issue: New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill reveals 400 noncitizens cast illegal ballots in Jersey elections.

So, New Jersey Gov. Incompetent, er, Mikie Sherrill had to eat crow and admit her state is registering noncitizens to vote (“NJ vote casting gall,” July 22).

The president proved to be right again. Mikie tried to downplay the issue and blame Trump for election interference. Won’t wash, Mikie — you got caught.

Of course foreigners have been voting in our elections. And if the authorities are admitting it, that means the number is likely much, much higher. This needs to be investigated and stopped. This is why we need to require a photo ID to vote.

Of course my home state is admitting to noncitizens casting votes in elections. Believing this is some “technical glitch” is like believing Santa Claus is real.

Plausible deniability is a wonderful ally for any politician. Jersey is full of them.

So 6,000 noncitizens were registered to vote in New Jersey and 400 actually did. My........
