Leaving National Review

15.04.2026

After two and a half years reporting in these pages on national politics, I have some bittersweet news: Today is my last day at National Review.

This job has been a whirlwind of fun. Since joining the team in October 2023, I’ve had the privilege of traveling this great country to report on the ever-changing cast of characters that define American politics and the ideas that motivate them. I’ve grown immensely as a reporter, writer, and storyteller because of all the wonderful people who work here and the latitude my editors gave me to pursue the stories that excited me the most.

I feel incredibly grateful and lucky to have worked alongside such brilliant and kindhearted colleagues. A special thank you to Rich Lowry for hiring me and being the best boss an aspiring political reporter could ask for. Thank you, Ramesh, Jessica, and Mark, for allowing me the privilege of publishing so frequently in the magazine. Thank you, Phil and Judd, for all the late-night edits and phone calls. And thank you Jack Crowe for always sharpening my ledes, pushing me to take on tough stories, and somehow staying sane amid my constant stream of frantic Slack messages.

National Review is a superb place to work, and I am incredibly proud to have called the place home for the past couple of years. I’ve got a couple more pieces in the hopper here before I leave these august pages for a new political reporting adventure I’ll announce in a couple weeks. Until then, thanks for reading.
