Leonid Radvinsky, owner of the subscription‑based platform OnlyFans, died Monday after a long battle with cancer at age 43.

The Ukrainian-American entrepreneur became a billionaire in 2022 following his acquisition of the fast‑growing platform, marking a major milestone in the creator‑economy boom and a remarkable impact on Onlyfans’ popularity in mainstream culture.

Company Spokesperson Announces Death

“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Leo Radvinsky. Leo passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer,” an OnlyFans spokesperson said. “His family have requested privacy at this difficult time.”

Born in Odesa to Jewish Ukrainian parents and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Radvinsky went on to earn an economics degree from Northwestern University before launching a venture fund, Leo, that invested in emerging tech companies.

Before acquiring OnlyFans, Radvinsky founded MyFreeCams, an adult streaming website that was a pioneer in adult subscription services and payment models for exclusive content. The high-traffic site, under his holding company, MFCXY, Inc., garnered millions of views as well as millions of dollars annually.

In 2018, Radvinsky acquired a 75% stake in Fenix International, the parent company of OnlyFans. Although the platform launched in 2016, it surged in popularity during the 2020 pandemic.

Today, OnlyFans’ subscription model reaches roughly 400 million users, and more than 4.6 million creators have profited off the platform, according to filings from Fenix International.
