Not Enough Conference Rooms at Your Office? This Company Has You Covered

The maker of portable “phone booth” private rooms for offices now has a line of wheelchair accessible conference rooms.

You need to take an important work call that you’d rather keep private—alas, all of the meeting rooms in the office are taken. And if you use a wheelchair, the remaining options might be even more dire. Until now.

Room, a New York-based company famous for its telephone booth-like meeting rooms, in June launched a collection of portable meeting spaces that comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). The collection includes three sizes, each of which is larger than the original phone booth: small, medium, and large. Thierry Ondet, Room’s managing director, says all three models were designed to be large enough to accommodate a wheelchair, but only the medium and large models are “fully ADA compliant,” he says. 

The smallest pod makes it possible for wheelchair users to have privacy—and the medium and large sizes are big enough for group meetings. In........
