The economic might—and increasing obscene wealth—of the San Francisco Bay Area has mostly been built on the expanding activities and influence of Silicon Valley‘s innovative businesses. But critics of the region’s infamously smug companies and lavishly paid employees are now enjoying a rare moment of schadenfreude, with a new ranking showing New York City replacing San Francisco has home to nation’s biggest tech workforce for the first time.
