NFL Boss Fuels Taylor Swift Super Bowl Rumours With 1 Word
Taylor Swift on stage in London last year
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell offered a “maybe” when asked if Taylor Swift would be performing at February’s Super Bowl Halftime Show in Santa Clara, California.
“We would always love to have Taylor play,” Goodell said on NBC’s Today on Wednesday. “She is a special, special talent and obviously she would be welcome at any time.”
Goodell said he couldn’t say “anything about” whether Taylor was already in negotiations to perform, but when Today co-host Savannah Guthrie asked if it was a maybe, the NFL chief responded: “It’s a maybe.”
While Goodell didn’t say when the announcement about this year’s halfime performer would be made, in the past three years, the headliner has been announced sometime in September.
Goodell’s tease comes just a week after Taylor announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce. Since the two began dating two years ago, Taylor has attended almost all of the Chiefs’ games, including two Super Bowl appearances. According to the NFL, she has helped grow the league’s female audience to 47% of viewers.
Taylor hasn’t slowed down since wrapping up her multi-year........
