Taylor Swift says she isn’t fazed by the critics who wish she would disappear from the limelight.

Appearing on Wednesday’s episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the pop star shared a message for the people who hope that she will “just go away.”

The topic came up after Swift told Colbert that the thing she “looks up to [the] most in people is career longevity.”

“Friendship longevity, longevity in their relationships, how do you keep a good thing going?” she continued. “I think there are certain corners of our society that really love that and look up to longevity.”

The Bad Blood singer then noted that it’s not a universal sentiment.

“There are also corners that are like, ‘Give someone else a turn. Can’t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?’ And I’m like, I don’t want to, you know?” she declared, to cheers.
