'We're So Screwed': Critics React To Trump Posting '(Don't Fear) The Reaper' Song Parody
Donald Trump apparently decided the best way to deal with a government shutdown was to (checks notes) troll Democrats with a Blue Öyster Cult song parody.
On Thursday night, the president posted an AI music video spoofing BOC’s 1976 classic, ″(Don’t Fear) The Reaper,” to mock the fears of Americans who fear their lives will be drastically affected by budget cuts advocated by the Republicans.
The video shows Project 2025 architect Russell Vought as “the Reaper,” who wields a scythe, while the lyrics declare:
“Now their time has come / Here the power’s gone / Russ Vought is the reaper / He wields the pen, the funds and the brain / Here comes the reaper / Dems you babies / Here comes the reaper / Gonna tie your hands / Here comes the reaper / Won’t be able to fly / Here comes the reaper / Cry baby end your plan.”
