Lily Collins in Emily In Paris' fifth season

The connections between Sex And The City and Emily In Paris are both numerous and well-documented, given the two shows are both Darren Star creations that share a costume designer in fashion icon Patricia Field, who helped turn both series into veritable eye candy.

But in the recently-released fifth season of the polarising Netflix show, fans spotted a much more deliberate homage to Sex And The City.

Lily Collins’ character begins season five of Emily In Paris still in Rome, before returning to the French capital as the story unfolds.

In a nod to the original Sex And The City finale, Emily’s return to Paris was accompanied by a shot of her looking enamoured as she is reunited with the Eiffel Tower, mirroring an iconic clip of Carrie Bradshaw seeing the French landmark for the first time.

Side-by-side clips of the two scenes have now been posted numerous times........
