Former White House adviser Elon Musk has exploded at Republicans over the so-called Big Beautiful Bill cutting taxes and Medicaid.

Just days after leaving his temporary position at the White House, Musk blasted Republicans for moving a bill that would expand budget deficits by more than $2 trillion.

“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk wrote on X. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”

The legislation includes nearly $4 trillion in tax cuts, mostly favouring wealthy households, and only partially offsets their cost with more than $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid and federal food benefits. Federal budget deficits would increase by the amount of the difference between the tax and spending cuts.
